Mattamuskeet national wildlife refuge hunt fees

Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge has several different hunts throughout the year -- goose, deer and waterfowl. Be sure you choose the correct hunt payment button from the choices below.

In order to legally participate in hunts on Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge, hunters must carry a signed refuge hunting permit and a receipt for payment of the $15.00 per hunter permit fee.

The fee may be paid online by clicking on the correct HUNT FEE button below. To use this credit card option, a .50 cents service fee is added to the hunt fee total. You will be charged $15.50 to use this option. Credit card payment is on a secure website. Your credit card number is not provided to us.

NOTE: If the name on the credit card does not match the name of the hunter for whom the the permit is purchased, be sure to document the hunter's name on the payment form under 'description.'

Goose Hunt - Your $15.50 fee is good for the entire month of September 2022.

Deer Hunt #1 (October 18-19) Your $15.50 fee covers both days of the hunt. Complete the on-line credit card payment form.

Deer Hunt #2 (October 25-26) Your $15.50 fee covers both days of the hunt. Complete the on-line credit card payment form.

Late Season Waterfowl Hunt

NOTE: You must receive notification that you were drawn for this hunt before paying these fees,

A $15.50 fee is required for each hunter for each day of the 2-day hunt. You may choose to hunt either or both days. Hunt fees can be paid up until the morning of the hunt. So if you are not sure you will hunt more than one day you should choose the 1-day option below. If you are certain you will hunt both days then you should choose the 2-day option below. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED. You will be emailed a receipt for payment. This receipt (printed or electronic) must be presented each morning at check-in to verify your payment. You will receive your permit at the mandatory check-in on the morning of each hunt.
